London Handmade Jewellery
Founded by a fine bespoke jewellers designer, this London based brand makes contemporary pieces that are effortlessly cool and made to last. Using sterling silver or gold filled metals set with Cubic Zirconia, Tada and Toy offers playful ear cuffs, statement hoops and stacking studs. They also donate 10% of sales to Ocean Conservation charities.
Having moved from Sao Paulo, Brazilian born designer Adriana Chede studied product design and took courses in fashion and jewellery before making her way to Europe where she worked with jewellers in Paris, Copenhagen and Rome. She then established her own label in 2018 to create ethereal, delicate fine jewellery with a modern twist. The collection uses recycled materials and responsibly sourced gemstones.
Crafted to Perfection: Exploring the World of Bespoke Jewellery
As well as jewellery, Chede designs sculptural pieces and objects that take inspiration from the natural world and traditional art forms. Her work is often informed by line, form and colour, and she focuses on the use of coils to create movement and flow in her pieces.
Recalling Pixar’s WALL-E’s landfill look, london handmade jewellery label Oushaba makes its own statement on tech and waste by combining discarded USB cables, mobile phone circuit boards and plugs with sustainably-sourced diamonds, rubies and emeralds. Each piece of jewellery has an art deco flair, and is hand-made from a mix of precious and non-precious metals. Each design is then presented in a bespoke wooden box that’s lined with cork and fabric padding to make it plastic-free. Stocked at Net-a-Porter and Liberty, the label has garnered fans such as Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley and Saoirse Ronan.
